Our Story
About UNIGUISE
Our Purpose
Where Heritage Meets the Modern World
UNIGUISE was founded on a simple but powerful belief: that African fashion — its fabrics, its silhouettes, its symbolism — deserves a global stage without compromise.
We began in Nigeria, learning the language of Aso-Oke and Ankara, the precision of traditional hand-weaving, and the cultural weight of a well-dressed entrance. We then brought that knowledge to Canada, where we found a diaspora hungry for a fashion house that understood where they came from and where they were going.
Today, UNIGUISE serves clients worldwide — from Lagos weddings to Toronto galas — through ready-to-wear collections, bespoke made-to-order commissions, and a rental service that makes luxury accessible.
What We Stand For
Our Values
Heritage
Every design draws from the rich textile traditions of West Africa — Aso-Oke, Ankara, Adire — reimagined for the modern wardrobe.
Precision
Our craftspeople are trained in both African and Western tailoring traditions, ensuring every garment is constructed with exacting attention to fit.
Accessibility
Luxury should not mean exclusivity of access. We serve clients worldwide — from Lagos to Toronto — with the same standard of care.
Sustainability
We source fabrics responsibly, support local artisans, and design pieces built to last — not to be discarded after one season.
